Looking to get more involved in the Thornton Area Chamber of Commerce? We’re currently accepting volunteer members for our committees—and we’d love to have you on board! Serving on a committee is a great way to deepen your connections, give back to the business community, and help shape the Chamber’s impact.

Events Committee
Help plan, promote, and support Chamber events throughout the year—from networking mixers to major community gatherings like Bites on the Block. -
Policy Committee
Stay informed and engaged with local and state policy. This committee helps guide the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and ensures the voice of business is heard in public decision-making. -
Membership Committee & Ambassadors
Support member retention and engagement by welcoming new members, attending ribbon cuttings, and being a friendly, visible face of the Chamber in the community.

Job Openings
Marketing & Events
$20/hour | Part-Time | Partially Remote | Thornton, CO
As our Marketing & Events Coordinator, you’ll support the Chamber's outreach and programming by managing digital content, designing promotional materials, and helping execute events that connect and celebrate our business community.
What You'll Do:

Create and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms

Design flyers, graphics, and promotional materials for Chamber programs and events
-
Assist with event planning and logistics—from vendor coordination to day-of support

Contribute ideas to help grow our visibility and member engagement
What We’re Looking For:

Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Experience with social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)

Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)

Someone who’s detail-oriented, flexible, and loves working with people

Membership Coordinator
$20/hour + Commission | Part-Time | Partially Remote | Thornton, CO
The Thornton Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a people-first professional who thrives on connection, conversation, and community-building. If you love meeting new people, growing relationships, and making an impact—this role is for you.
As our Membership Coordinator, you'll be the face of the Chamber to prospective members and a resource to current ones. Your focus will be on bringing in new members and nurturing strong relationships that support local businesses and strengthen our community.
What You’ll Do:

Engage with prospective members and guide them through the onboarding process

Build and maintain relationships with current members through check-ins and outreach
-
Represent the Chamber at networking events, ribbon cuttings, and community gatherings

Help develop outreach strategies to attract and retain members
-
Track membership activity and provide insight into growth opportunities
What We’re Looking For:

A natural connector who enjoys meeting people and building trust

Confident communicator, comfortable reaching out by phone, email, or in person

Motivated and goal-oriented, with an interest in community engagement

Experience in customer service, sales, or membership-based organizations is a plus

The Thornton Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking high-impact, visionary leaders to serve on our Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to help guide the strategic direction of one of the region’s fastest-growing business organizations.
Board Members are decision-makers, connectors, and champions for the local business community. This is not a passive role—our board is highly engaged in setting priorities, shaping programming, and expanding the Chamber’s reach and influence across Thornton and beyond.
